I imagine it must be highly frustrating waiting on materials when you have a time limit to do things and the vendors are not providing the materials ordered.

Austin, I guess when I think of the heat I think of how hot it feels here because of the humidity. I think we generally have between 80% to 100% humidity year round and its just miserable. When I was running a dehumidifier I had to empty it almost twice per day.

Zanne what area do you live in?

Central Louisiana. It sucks but we're sort of stuck here.
It might not always be that high humidity but it certainly feels like it.

My cat managed to find a plastic fork somewhere and she just brought it over to me. LOL.

I updated pictures in the thread I made about the remodel I want to do on the bathroom/laundry room.

I really need to sand the floor in my own bathroom and do the self-leveling flooring stuff, but I need to find where I put all the materials and hope I can hand stir it well enough as I don't have a stirring attachment for my drill.

I tend to worry a lot about not doing something right and end up procrastinating indefinitely.

I'm going to try to set a goal for myself to get it done within the next two weeks.

Will sediment in the water mess with the mix? I have to find it to see what kind it is again....

I am the queen of stream of consciousness and going off topic. LOL.

I got to do some plumbing today. Ran some 6" storm drain first thing this morning. I have left my helper and a plumber on a smaller project while I get the new one going, but I brought them both over today.

I had my helper hopping like a frog, fetching this, cutting that, strapping pipe down. She didn't know which end was up by the time we were done.

Once we were done with that, I put her with another plumber and drilled out a couple of units for sanitary drainage piping.

I am tired, and a lot less stressed out than I was last night.

I'm gonna go outside and get some work done before the heat really sets in. 7am and it is already over 85 degrees.

That thing is sweet.

Today I tore down half my fencing on my side yard and am forming for concrete pour tomorrow.

That reminds me of the time we found a crashed plane from World War II when hiking on Guam. LOL. Plants were growing out of it in all directions. I wish I had a picture but the effing airforce bx lost three rolls of film that we brought in to be developed.

Early this morning I got some grate stuff and finally sealed some gaps up near the back door. I'm hoping it will help to keep it slightly cooler back there. Now I need to put up wall panels, but that whole hall really needs to be renovated.

I am sweating a lot today. Prepping for concrete in 110 degree weather. So hot we are beginning our pour at 4:30 am tomorrow.

Went to the Fern Grotto today where the movie "Blue Hawaii" was filmed with Elvis. You kiddies can ask your folks about him ;)

My Folks just said that was before their time. You must be really old.

It's concrete day! I am having a finishing party, who want to come over?

So my 5 am truck has not shown up yet. I called and they said another hour. How does a first am delivery get behind.
