Will do, should I put a dollar amount in or let you guess on what I have in there?

Sounds like you might need some Benadryl. Sometimes bee/wasp stings last a few days-- sometimes up to a week. They can really suck. I hate stinging insects.

Yesterday my brother made his jabenero onion garlic sauce and we went over to a friend's who grilled up some burgers and bacon. I'm allergic to the sauce so I just had garlic, salt, and cheese on mine. It was delicious.

Today I'm going to go over and get that window at my friend's house boarded up. The real estate agent isn't going to do anything about the place. I think they should fire him and get a new agent-- someone who actually posts listings in a newspaper other than the crappy overpriced local paper. I mean, if people already live in the town and buy the paper, they likely aren't looking to buy another house. Well, they might, but there are more customers if they post on Zillow or in other outside papers-- but the real estate agent is apparently lazy. A friend told me he tried to buy a house from the guy and went to meet with him but the agent never showed up and never called.

I wonder if the cops think I'm a flake bc I wanted them to take fingerprints at the scene so they could find out who broke into the house- but one of my friends told me they don't even fingerprint people that they are arresting here. /facepalm

Hopefully we can get the window boarded up and doorjamb fixed and then put up the alarms that will scare the **** out of anyone who tries to get in.

A lazy agent will hurt themselves more than you ever could.

Cops don't really fingerprint or do anything unless it is a major crime. I had my mail stolen which was outgoing bills, the person used my account numbers and printed new checks with their name on them and spent over ten grand before I figured it out. The bank closed my account an they gave me copies of all the checks written and even got a copy of the ID that was used with the checks and it was a guy that lived around the corner from me. (At least that was the ID used, may or may not have been him) I had to get a report for the bank and when I did it was all over the phone. I asked if the cop wanted the info I had, Name, address, picture ID, signature and copies of all checks written, he said no that they rarely catch those guys anyway. I said you could at least act like you want to catch someone stealing thousands of dollars and he wasn't too happy about my attitude once I found out he didn't care.

I understand they are busy or have a certain criteria that they need before they care but c'mon it was over ten grand stolen and I had as much evidence as you could get.

You're correct about those paper crimes Chris. I worked property crimes at the PD for years, and the banks wouldn't even waste the money to send a representative to court and would rather write off the losses. Most PD's also don't want to do work for a crime which occurred outside their jurisdiction, so the losses are felt by folks by you. If it happens again, a phone call up the Chain of Command usually works to your advantage, so call the Chief of Police and express your concerns.

Chris, I would be so irritated (putting it mildly) if I were in your position and the cops did nothing about $10k being stolen. That's not chump change. Maybe one of the reasons they don't get the people in those cases is because they aren't trying. ARG.

I didn't expect them to do a whole lot about the break-in, but they don't usually have more serious crimes around here. There have been a few murders in the past few years and they completely botched the cases. They lose evidence and such all the time.

We boarded up the window, fixed the door, and I put the alarm on it. I noticed that the thugs tried to steal another air conditioner. I'm tempted to go over there with my rottweiler and my Italian Mauser (rifle) and sit there and wait for them to come back.

At the recommendation of my computer repair guy, I took the time to take 10 gigs of downloaded pictures from my computer and downloaded them onto three separate DVD's. This way, if my primary computer crashes, i will always have my pictures saved in the fireproof safe.

I would also recommend everyone spend time to do this as well.

I don't take pictures, I don't have the eye for it, but my wife lost a startling amount of photos a coupe of weeks ago and is now doing weekly backups.

This evening I got bored and went out and fixed the overhead console in my super duty, hasn't worked since I got the truck and took all of ten minutes to solder back the resistor. Back in business now.

I just realized that the guy stealing your mail was committing a federal crime and that you could have had him charged by the Feds. I don't know if they would have done anything about it though.

I had about 3 rolls of film taken on home leave and other trips when I was back in Guam. We took them to the Airforce base to have them developed and they lost all three rolls. No backups. They had the last photos of my aunt before she died. I was pretty cheesed off about that.

I do try to keep multiple backups of my files. I once had my harddrive backed up on a portable drive but the portable drive died and then my sister's retarded monkey friend stole my harddrive (ok, I guess it would be considered conversion of property). The idiot took it out of my computer without my permission (actually I specifically told her not to take it out) and then she got it and another harddrive mixed up with some boxes going to Goodwill. She also did something with the box of our family photos and I have never found it since then. It may have gone to Goodwill too. I want to strangle her. She actually did steal our entire music CD collection but her boyfriend gave it back to us about a year later.

I checked my friend's house and thus far the thugs seem to have stayed away, but I'm sure they will return.

Chris you are a master craftsman sir. You have my sincere respect.

I'm just guessing but I do have to hand it to you...the work around your house has really made me jealous.

Since the Zimmerman jury is out, is anyone else concerned?

My mother has been watching that Zimmerman trial on TV nonstop. At least she hasn't carried on about it the way she did the Jodi Arias trial. I kept waiting for someone to blow up the courtroom or something so that would end. I did not give a rat's scrotum about that hot mess.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out in the Zimmerman case. No matter what, I think the guy is screwed. The family will likely sue the pants off him for wrongful death, and if he gets acquitted or a short sentence for aggravated battery or man 2 then people will be outraged and someone will probably try to kill the guy. He'll be hounded by the media (at least until they find another target to focus on 24/7).

Today I took one of my cats to be neutered and brought his sister in for exam. I was certain she had a fever, she wasn't drinking (so I was forcefeeding her a few CCs of water with a needleless syringe) and she had lumps under her armpits. Turns out her temp was 104 and she had bloody stool. She has a lump at her lower abdomen. It feels like an abscess or swollen glands or something. She had to be given fluids subcutaneously along with antibiotics and perked up for a bit. She wanted food a little while ago. She was all snuggly but now she's sleeping again. Poor baby. I hate when my pets are sick. Not gonna love the vet bill either.

Also, earlier a guy with an Indian accent called asking for Suzanne. Now, there are two people in my household with that name and he specified he wanted "the mother". He wouldn't identify what company he worked for. Turns out he was a debt collector and was trying to collect on a medical bill of mine that was under dispute (they worked out a deal to charge me a reduced amount and then turned around and sent me the difference-- but had told me to ignore the bill if I got it after paying). So I ignored it and years later they started calling. I told them 1. I don't owe the bill since it was a thing we worked out when I paid and 2. the statute of limitations was up a year ago. So this guy starts talking to my mother about my debt without my permission and starts badgering her to pay it.
First off, its not legal for him to discuss it with her without my permission. Second its not legal for him to try to get her to pay it or to badger her about it. Third, he didn't identify his company, which is also a violation. I wish I still had the number logged and knew which company he was from so I could file a complaint. As it is, he wouldn't even identify himself at all when I picked up. Fourth, he absolutely refused to tell me the mailing address of the company so I could contact them via mail. People like that piss me off.
