I have five helicoptors flying over me here today. Wonder what happened.

They are reporting a murder just down the street from you. Are you dead and someone forgot to tell you?

CHP officer was shot after a pursuit which ended at Hospitality Lane and Waterman, connected to two persons murdered in Yucca Valley.

Yikes! I'm glad you weren't hurt. Sorry to hear that Verizon punctured a sewer line. Sounds like they didn't check before digging.

Backhoes are pretty awesome. I was very impressed with the one the septic installers were using.

Whatever was causing the plug up in my plumbing seems to have cleared now. I guess something just got stuck. I'm going to have to keep harping on my brother to not flush things down that he shouldn't-- like he cut his hair and put the hair in the toilet (and I don't mean small little trimmings, I mean big chunks of hair). I had to fish it out and was not amused.

I guess all this police activity happened about a half a block from me, I went to leave Home Depot and was forced to wait while the road was closed for a while. I started jumping up and down under the channel 5 helicopter.

I woke up and it was raining. I plan on doing the same thing tomorrow.

Today I drove the other half to work then got an oil change in her car, now to put a caliper and pads on my stupid duty then take the 5th wheel down for new tires, get it loaded and head out of town for the weekend.

It rained all night and has been raining this morning. My roads aren't paved so they will be a mess. I think I will forego heading in to town today. I feel badly for the cats at my late friend's house, but I can make it up to them and feed them extra tomorrow. (People abandoned cats in the neighborhood and my friend used to feed these cats canned food and dried food every day, but he passed away after complications from a surgery that he shouldn't have had-- he was 89 yrs old and they didn't check his heart before the surgery-- the surgery was to remove a spot of skin cancer from the top of his head. When he died, his widow took the indoor cats except for one, which she kicked out bc the cat bites, and the rest of the cats outside were left on their own. So I go over and feed them dried food. The cat that was kicked out just had kittens.)
I wish there were animal shelters here, but my entire Parish is devoid of no-kill shelters. I've tried contacting animal help groups but the only responses were that they don't cover this area for picking up cats.

Aqualityplumber, Nice pictures! Great job!

I broke a porcelain crown, and just touching the broken edge, I cut the crap out of my finger. Now I can't talk for fear of cutting my tongue permanently until I can get an appointment with the dentist.

Yikes! Havasu, do you have any wax? Some kind that is nontoxic? You can probably put wax on it-- or stuff a tissue in temporarily to protect your tongue. But wax would be more effective if you can get a big enough gob on. When I had braces there were sharp edges on some of the metal pieces and I was given wax to put on the sharp parts to stop them from cutting in to my mouth.
I hope you can get a dental appointment soon.

I went and fed the kitties in town again. The cat that has the kittens was ecstatic to see me. I wonder when the kittens will show up. I think she has them under the house of one of the neighbors.

We had a great time camping out t Calico Ghost Town in Yermo CA, It was there spring Bluegrass festival. Not bad and the first time I had been there since I was a kid and boy it has changed. No major problems along the way and not even a single flat tire, glad I bought new ones on Friday for the trailer.

Today and yesterday I went over to a friend's house to help him move chunks of the oak tree that fell on his house. He doesn't have many tools so I planned to bring some over today and discovered that it seems my neighbors have relieved me of my chains, axes, and prybars that were out in the car port. I knew it seemed odd when a tool thing on the porch was open no one in my family had opened it. The neighbor claims to be afraid of my dogs, but I think he says that so I won't close my gate.

He wanted to take some of the larger stuff but it would have been too obvious so he asked to "borrow" it. Yeah, last time he borrowed a bush hog from another neighbor, they never got it back. I need to get an automatic gate with a locking mechanism to keep that creep out.
