Heck, Cindy won't let me touch it. I just asked her how she likes it, and she said, "Oh yeah!"

I got new shoes (tires) on the truck, checked all the fluids in the truck (first time in a few years), installed a dual battery charger on the pontoon, replaced the regulator on the BBQ, and still had time to go out in the boat for a few hours today. It was great!

Awesome. I'm glad to hear at least one of you is getting to enjoy it.

Today we have doc appointments. Should be awesome.

Went to work on my day off to see Ernie Weiss for his "plumbers only" retirement lunch. He's been at the university for 44 1/2 years. After Friday he will take many secrets and much knowledge out the door with him.

That's an insane amount of gas.

Havasu, sounds like you've been busy. I love that photo of the water and the cliffs.

Yesterday I banned someone from my forum, got up and cleaned some litterpans, cleaned up the floor in my bathroom, took out some trash, fed the dogs, fed the cats, gave dogs their meds, went to the store to get milk, went to the post office, ate two sandwiches (all I had to eat that day), started to drink some brand new chocolate milk only to discover that it had expired by two days (I have the receipt and will take it back to them and demand a refund), played World of Warcraft with my mother, played Wartune with my brother, and slept.

Today I will try to clean up the hallway and clean more litter pans. Sixteen cats leave a lot of mess.

Yup. Stopped raining long enough to trim the edges of the deck. Can't wait til next spring, new siding and fixing all the hack job electrical.

Ooh, nice deck. Gorgeous barbecue as well.
I like the gate. It reminds me a bit of one my elderly friend made for me when he was 88.
I'll have to upload the photo of the gate at some point. For his 89th birthday I showed him a photo of the gate all painted and mounted. I had to sand, paint, and drilled the holes to mount the hinges and latch.

Today I did some touch up cleaning on my bathroom, cleaned the hallway, took the dog for a walk, climbed behind my mother's chair and had a hard time accessing an electrical outlet. I felt dizzy afterward.

I'm exhausted now.

Went to a construction yard today to select a few color variations of stack stone, and once we decide which color will look best, I'll start refacing the g/f's fireplace.

Today my cats have been trying to wake me up since 3am. I don't know wtf their issue is. I refilled their food bowls, I filled their water bowls, I gave them fresh litter in the litterpan... Yet they were pawing at my face and meowing at me. The newest kitten found my sketchpad and thought paper was a toy so he managed to shred a couple pages of my drawings.

Today I probably need to go to the store again to get more milk. I'm going to try to get some pictures of my bathroom today-- if I remember-- and maybe make a thread about the bathroom repair progress. I haven't worked on it in almost 3 years and I really need to keep myself motivated. If/when I create a thread I could use some feedback and suggestions.

A section of the wiring in my house seems to have died or something because the outlet on the northeast side of the living room no longer works, the lights near the front door and in the adjacent tool closet burnt out but replacing the bulbs did not make them work, and the porch light went out. I believe it was after a power surge during a storm. So now I need to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it (as in, I need to find an electrician in my area).

What agency would have a list of licensed electricians? I know the Dept. of Health has lists for plumbers and septic tank installers and cleaners, but I don't know if they would oversee electricians as well. Would it be with the state licensing board maybe?

I found the Louisiana State Licensing Board for contractors. I don't know if that would include electricians. According to the search there are zero residential electricians in my Parish but there are 5 residential contractors (two in my town, but one of them is deceased). I wonder if I would have to look at the list for commercial contractors.

There are 6 on the list for my town for commercial, but one of them is the dead guy. But I don't know if commercial contractors can do residential jobs. I need to learn more about this.

Please excuse my rambling.

Going out to breakfast then making the trip back to the armpit I live in.

Yesterday my brother and I hung out with a friend and brought him out. He said that some of our circuits had been flipped and pointed out the red in the circuits in the box. We flipped the circuits off and then on again to see if it fixed anything, but no dice. We may need to replace them. (My friend is certified as an electrician but not licensed so he knows what to look for, but is not permitted to do massive wiring changes and such).

Then my dishnetwork satellite went out. I don't know what is wrong with it. Called tech support this morning and they said that because both receivers have the same error and everything is hooked up properly (I checked) they will have to send a technician out. It's still under warranty so its a free service call. I hope some of the branches on the nearby tree aren't blocking anything. I tried to trim them from down lower but the little saw my mother got me (which is a manual saw-- not powered) didn't want to cut through and the blade kept bending. It was too hot for me to stay outside so I am now back inside. The technician is due to arrive tomorrow morning.

I still need to get some pictures uploaded on my bathroom repair stuff.

I did find out that commercial contractors are not allowed to do residential jobs unless they are also licensed as residential contractors (I learned this by reading the list of people who had violated the rules and been fined and one of the most common violations was a commercial contractor doing residential work without the appropriate license).

Early this morning my mother asked me to help her in World of Warcraft. She was doing a quest where her character needed to be healed so I had my druid on to heal her and then she helped my hunter with some quests and we ran a couple of dungeons and scenarios together. Normally she hates grouping with other people, but nobody tried to talk and we just ran through and killed things so she was happy and wanted to continue doing dungeons and scenarios but I was too tired to stay awake. She's rather antisocial, which is funny because she plays MMORPGs, but if she doesn't have to chat with people in the games and can just loot as much as she wants and such, she's happy. (I'm sure none of this makes sense to people who don't play WoW).

Chris, I hope your headache goes away soon.

Don't feel sorry for Chris's headache. He deserves it for attempting to deplete Southern California of its beer reserve. ;)

It was the bottle of jack that was brought out after several beers, the two of us polished it off. No good I tell you, felt like crap all day. Am home now and want to put the house up for sale and go back tot he mountains, it is hot and humid and nasty out.
