I went to Golden, Colorado and took a free tour at the Coors Factory. Really nice tour with lots of free beer for everyone! Tomorrow I head S/E 14 hours, towards Austin, Texas, in order to see the Wizard of Oz. I will also prove or disprove once and for all that Keith and Austin are the same person or not!

LOL! You guys are always entertaining. :)

Chris, that looks awesome. Btw, is that an outdoor bar area? Do you have more pictures? From what I see of it, it looks awesome.

I like the word awesome. :-D

My brother is paying me to wash dishes for him (he's supposed to wash them) so I've been cleaning the kitchen.

I'm about to take Mom's dog for a walk. She had me talk to him on the phone and tell him he was going for a walk and he started jumping on her because he was so excited.

I've still been procrastinating on the bathroom, but I've been trying to make a plan of action to come up with the best way to proceed on picking up the crap (literally) because my cats managed to make a huge mess in there.

I should probably update it but here it is from the start.

I just spoke with him. We will both be there.

If you guys like wine too, I know a good wine consultant in Austin. Although sirhe might be busy fighting with the school board right now. She lives a mile from the school with a major thoroughfare between her house and the school. She has no vehicle so she can't drive her kid and its not safe to walk. The school refuses to send a bus for her but sends one for a family about a block away because one of the children is handicapped. They will let the handicapped child and his siblings ride, but they won't let my friend's daughter ride even if she goes and waits with them.

Too bad she can't just pretend she's one of their family members. Apparently the busdriver won't let her get on the bus.

In other news, we got a brand new microwave because my brother ruined the old one. We only had it for a couple of days and he nearly ruined it. He was making habenero honey sauce and burned it so badly that my cats were panicking and waking me up and the house was filled with smoke. It coated the top of the microwave in burnt crud and now the microwave stinks. I cleaned it out so there are no more visible signs of the mess, but every time we use the thing it smells. And I'm allergic to habenero (and peppers in general). :-(

On a side note, we still need to sue (or at least talk to) the timber company that owns the land around ours because a few of their trees have fallen on my fence and ruined my barn. State Farm was supposed to find out which company it was and deal with them and try to get money out of them and help us. Instead the idiot I dealt with didn't even know how to properly use e-mail and didn't do jack squat-- other than erroneously report that my house siding has holes in it and that the policy holder doesn't live here (both of which are not true) and they terminated my house insurance. So, its been almost a year since the barn incident and we still aren't sure how to even contact the lumber company. (They were told prior to the tree falling that it was dead and needed to be removed and they never did so it fell and crushed my barn-- someone looked at it and estimated it would be $50k to rebuild one the same size). Not sure exactly what we should do and my mother canceled the long distance calling so we can't even call outside of our own town anymore. She's not willing to lift a finger to do anything anymore so I will probably have to take care of it, but I don't even know where to start. I tried looking up the company in the yellowpages and couldn't find it. I just know that if we don't get it fixed or replaced that she will blame me. Ugh.

Chris, on the patio bar area: WOW! It's just awesome! (adding more comments in that thread)

Did you ever get your neighbors to stop parking on your side yard?

In the good news, I have gotten more of the kitchen cleaned little by little.

I've been going outside to smell the 4-o'clock flowers (mirabilis jalapa). They smell nice but the plants are now taller than me and they have taken over the front yard.

Btw, is there anything I could use to coat those metal dog water dishes that come with an autofiller and float? Mine keep rusting and I want to coat it with something that won't make my dogs sick. (The one I have is Little Giant Ever Flow Water Bowl from TractorSupply).

Zanne, I only use stainless steel for my dog bowls. They can be easily scrubbed out and never rust.

I just took a shower at a hotel which isn't aware of "low flow" shower heads. Best shower I've had in years!

We don't do that down here. We're bigger people. That requires more force from the shower head.

Today I am meeting havasu for lunch.

I see how it is he lives 45 minutes from me and I have never meat him, he lives 23 hours from you and you are having lunch. Thats it I am hoping on a plane now.

Today I am finishing up a few projects. The little lady is out of town for the week so I decided to do some tile on out bathroom floor and travertine the laundry room along with paint and new cabinets if I can find some I like and tossing in a french door to walk from the dining room straight to the bar. I will get some pics up later of it all.

havasu, thanks. I wish I could find those automatic filler bowls in stainless steel. I have a crap selection when I look for them. I need something I can hook to a hose outside that just refills without leaking or rusting. I have to see them in person because online can be misleading. I ordered a plastic one online and it turned out to be tiny in comparison to the old bowl. They didn't list the capacity and the pictures made it look larger.

Chris, that is awesome! I hope your wife appreciates it when she gets back. That would be a nice surprise (although maybe she knows you are working on it?). I wish I could figure out what to do with my laundry room.

Ah, I remember the Alamo. Did you ask to see the basement so you could look for your bicycle? :p

Today I had to go pick up two of my cats (separately) that were afraid to come in because they were afraid of the other cats. I had to herd cats to keep them out of rooms that they kept trying to run into. I had to stop my mom's little dog from attacking the newest kitten because he thought the kitten was going for his food. I went to the store and picked up my brother's medicine and milk and stuff.

I'm trying to relax a little because I feel winded now.

Hopefully today I can get my list of things done that I am trying to get done before the lady gets home tomorrow. Also have to clean the entire house after cutting a giant hole in the wall for some doors.

Cool Chris. If you make the hole just a bit bigger, you can make a drive-thru for me for when you brew some good beer!
