I'm about to start a fire. Go me!

I went and looked at a 04 Impala with my son. Price isn't bad, needs an oil pan gasket and a motor mount.

Then went out to the jobsite mentioned in the Project Display to try to do some layout for Monday core drilling, but the weather ran us off.

I was the designated driver for a boatload of drunks for the second day in the row. They had fun and that is all that matters. Let's see how they reciprocate when I ask them to help wash the boat tomorrow, with spilled strawberry margaritas, dirt, spilled beer and about $30 in aluminum from the empty beer cans. Here is a pic from last night's trip to the London Bridge.

Yup, went with a few Jeepforum guys pretty much the same guys I always go with. Good times on some good trails, now I get to do a bunch of work to my rig since I got a little lead foot happy. I turned my driveshaft and tie rods into the shape of a banana. I cant do over 20 mph on the highway without it rattling apart right now. Glad I trailered it this time. The V8 and Dana 60's are definitely the best upgrade I have done.

Did they clean it up?

Anyone I know?

Probably not, all San Diego guys. Jbolty goes with me who is a mod over there? Rik went too. he only broke down a few times.

Did they clean it up?

Yep, all cleaned up and ready for the next time. I also just added to my list of needs out there is a new truck battery for the boat launcher, a new stereo for the pontoon to replace the one that got smothered in beer, and a new bilge pump that just happened to go out over the weekend, nearly sinking my unsinkable boat.

Just finished up a job at Costco, simple waterline repair. Had a nice easy Monday with no real difficult jobs. And I got a bit of OT

Other than a couple hours of physical therapy for the new knee, I didn't do anything worth writing about here, except for a much needed hour long power nap.

I ran some errands for work and paid some bills. Put the jeep away and want to take a nap.

I spent all day on an open concrete deck, getting sun baked. Finished the layout work, checked most of it against the beams below, *****ed at the core driller being a lazy bastard and wanting to go home at 1:30, met the firestop subcontractor on site, then drove 35 miles to do a drain cleaning call, then home by 8 PM.

Austin, there are actually quite a few landlords who refuse to give back deposits because they want to repaint and take care of normal wear and tear. I'm glad you gave them hell on it. I hate when people do that crap. I think the normal wear and tear was the excuse the landlord gave to my parents on not returning the deposit. I wish more people knew the laws on the deposits and such.

So today I drove my mother around. She had to get bloodwork done (they do it on a regular basis to check to see how her sugar levels are doing) and had food from the hospital cafeteria. Unlike the crap they give to the patients, its very good. It's also inexpensive and my mother gets a senior discount. It was about to close so she got extra food for no charge. So I had a bunch of bacon, eggs, and two biscuits. I did later burp so hard the bacon came up my nose though-- but it was still worth it.

My laptop case had broken (it was a cheap case we got for free for buying something else) so I needed a new one. Went to Staples, Hastings, and Office Depot. I was also looking for a stylus for my cellphone since my fingers keep hitting the wrong things. The cheapest one was like $10. I did find a good case at Office Depot but had not found a stylus. On the way home we stopped at Dollar Tree to get gallon jugs of water (since our tap water is of dubious quality for drinking). While I was in there I saw a stylus for $1. They even had one in my mother's favorite color. I thought "what the hell, its only a $1". It doubled as a pen so if it didn't work as a stylus, I had a shiny blue pen. Now, the whole time we were waiting and while I was driving around, my mother was playing a word jumble game on my phone. At one point when I was trying to look something up to see if it was compatible, my mother called me (while in the same store as me) to tell me she was in the coffee area and that she wanted me to come give her my phone so she could play while I looked for a stylus. Before I finished loading the water into the car she had opened the stylus package and discovered that it worked. She sent me back in to get two more. The clerk hadn't realized what they were and started looking for more bc she wanted to buy a bunch of them to resell at a higher price. I heard another clerk saying the computer showed 30 in stock but they could only find 2 on the shelves after I grabbed some. I had a good chuckle and went on my way. My mother decided to keep the blue stylus despite the fact that she doesn't actually have a smart phone or own any apparatus that uses one. I wonder if it works for a touch pad on a laptop....

Anyway, after that I came home and took a nap. I'm just waking up again now.

Also, I now have 16 cats because I found an abandoned kitten right in the middle of the road. Nearly ran over the poor thing. I don't think he's even old enough to be weaned. My brother named him Mewlatto and already has him litter trained.
