Wow, booze isn't cheap... even when you get a deal. I think I'm glad I'm not a drinker.
Being new to the South and this area, I didn't know what an ABC store was? Their prices as craziness on everything and that place is always busy. I can't imagine the astronomical amount of tax dollars that place generates a day, not to mention the other 364 days of the year, WOW! :smashy:

The only issue I have ever had with drinking, was running out! LOL :beeroclock:

Virginia has ABC stores as well and they are the reason my wife and I travel up the I-95 corridor to New Hampshire once or twice a year where their state-run liquor stores, easy off and back onto the highway, are very cheap in comparison and they are tax free as well!

Oh wow I did not know that. At one time I seen a list of all the states listed in order of who had the highest taxes on Spirits. If I remember correctly, NC was no. 2 or 3 on that list and I think Missouri was the lowest.

Yes I enjoy that Bacon also along with sausage, chops, ribs, ham, etc. LOL Unfortunately I called her my grease pig because of all her extra fat she had on her and she made the most amazing lard. I am old school and very fortunate to be able to do all my own processing from start to finish.

This is my first time at raising this breed of hog, they are called AHG short for American Guinea Hog. They are a unique breed of hog with an interesting history to go with them if you have never heard of them before ?

I have my hogs on a special diet of fermented feed with vitamins and minerals added, so the meat is super super taste. I preferer lean meaty bacon over fatty, so I have other hogs that are much leaner and make excellent Bacon. :)

Foul weather on the way to DC for the rest of the weekend a polar vortex that will cause the inauguration of the 47th, 92nd if you are into addition, president of the United States Donald J. Trump.

The polar vortex is welcome for a couple of reasons:

1. Because it will be held indoors, there should be no need for discussion of whether the crowd was the biggest or the smallest in US history.

2. This will prevent the riffraff from causing chaos.

Also, Virginia's governor has called for all US flags in the commonwealth to be flown at full staff on Monday. My heartfelt congrats to Governor Newsom for doing the same thing.

Your thoughts?

Why full staff? Happy for Trump ?
Well, I'm glad for wishy-washy to be out and gone.
We will see if Mr. trump lives up to his promises.
If he gets rid of tax on my ss I'll be happier !
Fixing the border, there's different issues with sending people back, but I think it should be slap shut for a while.

I think my father's M1911 is Springfield Armory but I'd have to look at it again.

Weather stopped us from being able to move things like we wanted.

Friend told me that his ex's bio mom saw the things people were saying in comments on news pages about the ex's arrest for child abuse and the bio mom lost her crap about it. Posted unhinged allcaps misspelled comments all angry and stuff. Said to blame the adopted parents for how she turned out and something about her daughter coming back to her at 18 and not knowing how to bathe herself. That would be her older inbred daughter she had with her own brother. I feel like I live in a soap opera sometimes.

Dropped my brother off at the sleep center for a study to see if he breathes better with a cpap on. His breathing stopped 15x an hour and his O2 dropped to 70 during his home sleep test. Hopefully a cpap will help and if he can get better sleep it might improve his health

Meanwhile, state sales tax went up again so my area's sales tax is now 11%.

And the kitchen sink wasn't draining at my friend's house. I'm trying to persuade him to NOT dump "liquid fire" down the roof vent pipe. I got a bladder that goes on the end of a hose to try first. He's got a septic tank and no one lived there for awhile so I wonder if it needs some kind of treatment.
