Don't think I wasn't thinking about you and your toys when I was pulling that 200 pound chunk of concrete from the hole.

So, I finally went up to Sears and the selection online was much more impressive than in the actual store. It was disappointing, and they all looked too small. The one that was supposed to be 2.2cu ft didn't look very large inside and there only seemed to be one and it took forever to talk to someone from customer service. Home Depot was also a wash because they rearranged the store and have everything scattered all around with no actual sense of organization.

My app on my phone to read barcodes turns out to be a lousy one since it couldn't seem to connect to find anything once it read the code, but at Best Buy (which had absolutely nothing in terms of countertop microwaves) I ran in to a customer who had a Samsung Note II who was using an amazon.com barcode reader app and he S-beamed it to my phone (I had to show him how to do it) so now I have that one.

I was able to look up a few things and found that some of the ones my mother thought were good turn out to be crap. When did Panasonic go down hill? Those used to be reliable, but the reviews for the microwaves were awful.

We need something at least 2.2cu ft (we would like it to be tall inside so we can fit taller things). Depth and width aren't as much of an issue. My mother was hoping to get a convection one, but I don't know if they make them in that size. We were spoiled by our Motgomery Ward 3.0 cu ft convection microwave with faux wood exterior. Sucker lasted 22 years. The 2.0cu ft Kenmore Elite one lasted maybe 5 years.
I've been reading reviews that some of the Panasonic ones don't even last a year. I don't know if the people are just rough on microwaves or not, though. We tend to use it a lot so it would have to be tough.

My mother ended up getting talked in to getting a blue Samsung Galaxy S3 in Best Buy. She only had to pay $3 for it because of some special deal so she was happy. I immediately S-beamed her favorite word puzzle app from my phone so she could play it all she wanted and leave my phone alone. Not only did they set up the plan and such, they even transferred all of the data from her old Nokia flipphone over and made sure she had everything she needed and then had an associate help her set up her phone to get it working and make sure she had everything she needed and helped her understand some of the features. Walmart, which was selling the phones for a lower price in their advertising but it costs a lot more for the setup and they don't even do all the same stuff in terms of setting things up and helping. But then, Walmart employees are given crap for pay and the local Walmart deliberately hires dummies or people with almost no education (they actually refuse to hire college graduates because they are "overqualified") so they have problems with competency and comprehension.

Btw, Sony put out an absolutely amazing 3D HDTV which enhances 1080pi images and it is incredible to look at. We sat down and were watching the commercial video of a guy snowboarding down a mountain. It was like $4999 for the 55" one and the next one is like $6999 for the 65" one (which was not in the store). I would never pay that much for a TV though. My strategy is to wait until something better comes out that has features I don't care about and wait for the original one to drop down a lot. That's why I didn't even get a cellphone until 2007 and then I didn't replace it with a smart phone until 2013 when the S3 dropped in price.

Wow, I'm babbling a lot. My head is so jumbled from trying to find a good microwave that will last-- and I need to do it by today. ugh.

I also have the Galaxy S-3 and love it. Since my G/F has Verizon Fios, I registered my phone for the HBO Go, free sports all day, and Showtime to go, which streams live video anywhere in the country, all for free. Pretty slick smart phones these days!

I just bought the iPhone 5 and really wanted the galaxy s4 active but it is only available at AT&T and I have Verizon. I either have to have a waterproof phone or case with work and the s4 was just to big for my liking although I like it better than apple.

I'm sorry to hear this. I guess we will have to change your name to iChris from this point forward.

As for a microwave I use them for a minute or so every few days so mine lasts forever. I like to cook fresh food every day but that can be a chore to.

Please don't I am not an apple fan at all. They try and talk how great they are yet they are the only phone you here of that will randomly crash and you loose all your info, then you say that to an apple fan and they tell you how it was the last model that had the problem and the new model is great.

I was with my Arrowhead cousin today and he just went out and got himself an iPhone5. He likes it alot, and I do like the size. Speaking of Verizon, I was there a few days ago and the salesman said Verizon is currently working on a no contract monthly phone, similar to the other phones who provide unlimited everything for $30-$40 a month. Sure is better than the $162 I currently pay.

Here is a $1800 backflow repair, which didn't satisfy the customer, so he is paying a non-licensed yoko-loko another $500 to move it off the road another 8 feet.

Make sure he tests it properly for leaks after moving it, hydro test it if possible. I would charge my commercial customers almost that price but not private party. I would also leave it painted and insulated. Looks like your riser is crooked or is it just the picture. Why didn't you call me I could have had it done in a jiffy.

I would have also transitioned to brass coming out because it is stronger and holds up better to the freeze. I guarantee he will be repairing that one within a year or two especially if that is box store copper.

Yeah, I threw in the towel on helping him. I just smile and agree with whatever he wants to do.

My brother had an iPhone 3 and he liked it for awhile but got very frustrated with the file transferring stuff. If he wanted to back up the data on his phone it literally made him delete everything from the phone and reload it entirely. It required software to work with his desktop and generally was a total pita.

He loves the S3. He got a red one, I got a white one (all they had were red and white at the store) and Mom found the blue one at Best Buy. I actually used to hate Best Buy because for the first few years I only had bad experiences there, but the one I go to is good and had employees who actually know stuff. One of them is an Iraq war veteran who knows a lot about computers and electronics and cooking.

Anyhoo, back to the phones, the S4 is now available for Verizon http://news.verizonwireless.com/news/2013/04/samsung-galaxy-s4.html

I don't know about waterproof cases. Allegedly you can spray a phone with Rustoleum Never Wet, but I read some reviews that say it wears off after a short time (like within 5 minutes). for my S3 I got the Ballistic SG Maxx. It has saved my phone many times. I'm used to having my Razr V3xx tethered to me with a retractable keychain thing and this one has fallen a few times. It just bounces. It has pretty good grip with that case, and I like the belt clip that locks it on to my pouch (I carry one of those front pouch thingies-- fanny packs I think-- because I hate purses).

That smoker looks pretty good. I miss the days in Guam when we would take the Lucky Strike out deep sea fishing and catch wahoo, marlon, and mahi mahi. Capt. Eads would cut the fish right on the dock and we'd take it home and grill it on aluminium foil with garlic and butter.

Anyhoo, thus far today I gave my mother her medicine, fed the cats, fed the dogs, gave the dog her medicine, tried to figure out wtf my one-eyed kitten wanted to no avail, took the little dog for a walk, refilled the water trough for horse and cows (dip**** horse ripped the hose out of the automatic filler and the metal tore off of the end of the hose), and looked at Tumblr a bit.

I need to get off my ass and do some cleaning.

Does anyone here know much about garden hoses/water hoses? I keep having problems where the metal part that goes inside the automatic water thing rusts and gets stuck and then when I go to remove it, the metal tears and I have to get a new filler. Also, my hoses leak at the metal part where the part that turns to attach to a faucet attaches to the hose.. I suppose I should take a picture. I have tried putting new washers in but they don't stop the leaking.
Ok, I think I got the arrow slightly wrong. LOL. It should be pointing to where the female part attaches to the stationary metal part of the hose.

Waiting for the fire dept to show up now. Got a good fire going in the smoker to burn things off.

Weird paint. What is it?

Chris, a fire is headed right towards your house. Leave your guns and beer, and I'll come by later and pick them up for you!

Now that you have them ship them to Texas for safe keeping.
