My toilet handle sticks and seems to be hindered by the lid. This is a new thing and has worked well for years. I’m sure it’s an easy fix other than getting a skinnier handle which is what my Super suggested.

some times they get loose and need to be reset. just make sure you know most threads are LEFT HAND THREAD on toilet handles.
Anything changed? New seat, new handle, new flapper?

No. When it stuck before I could adjust the top of the tank forward and that would allow some clearance between the handle and the toilet lid. That no longer works. Nothing seems to be loose or has shifted. I’m stumped!
So it's sticking on the toilet seat... just at a spacer to where the lid hits keeping it away from the handle.
Belay that. How about a pic of the guts of the toilet?

Thanks. Not sure what to tell you other than deforming or reforming the black plastic arm somehow. The fact that the chain attachment point on the black plastic isn’t directly over the flapper attachment point requiring more upward movement of the black arm is concerning to me.
If it were me, I’d swap it out with a handle/arm combination that was metal and would allow for bending or forming for a better geometry of the setup. That or maybe get a hair dryer (being extremely cautious about using electricity around water) and bend it.

I’m afraid this is beyond my skill level. I was hoping to avoid an expensive plumber (in Manhattan they are criminally expensive) but I will have to suck it up. Thanks for your help.
