I’m afraid this is beyond my skill level. I was hoping to avoid an expensive plumber (in Manhattan they are criminally expensive) but I will have to suck it up. Thanks for your help.Thanks. Not sure what to tell you other than deforming or reforming the black plastic arm somehow. The fact that the chain attachment point on the black plastic isn’t directly over the flapper attachment point requiring more upward movement of the black arm is concerning to me.
If it were me, I’d swap it out with a handle/arm combination that was metal and would allow for bending or forming for a better geometry of the setup. That or maybe get a hair dryer (being extremely cautious about using electricity around water) and bend it.
Understood. Maybe someone else will offer additional suggestions. Good luck!I’m afraid this is beyond my skill level. I was hoping to avoid an expensive plumber (in Manhattan they are criminally expensive) but I will have to suck it up. Thanks for your help.
