“Remoting” a hose Bibb for a senior. The builders in this particular 55+ community only put hose bibbs on the sides of the homes where people don’t need them, and don’t put them in the front and rear of the homes were people want them!
All that’s going to freeze and break.

Man, how much does it cost for the ditch witch? I could really use one. I wish they had smaller ones that were easier to manage. Can they cut through roots?

The only thing I'd have to worry about when digging would be the phoneline (and roots). But I know where the phoneline is because they marked it a few years back. It's pretty shallow though. Goes right under my front gate (or where the gate used to be before the hurricane took it out).

I cut the bish up and added a fountain pump into the loop.

If it makes ice I will pipe it in and modify it permanently

🤡🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh nice! I hope it works. We don't have a working icemaker setup right now. There's one up on an old record player entertainment center thingy in the kitchen but we never use it.

It works great after some serious modifications.

I removed a thermostat, a N.O./N.C. Switch and a timer. I replaced it with a timed relay.

I replaced the water circulator pump with a fountain pump.

It’s making 28 pounds of ice per day. It dumps 8 gourmet cubes every 25 minutes.

Reminds me I need to take pictures of the plumbing inside my linen closet (the new stuff for my shower).
But for now:
Got a Moen shower arm, Moen magnetix showerhead (need to check the box to see which one-- was either attract or engage), Delta Lahara controls (has temp & pressure levers), & Moen Monticello tub spout.

Room flooded because the plumber was just a plumber and not a piping engineer.

This is a short video rather than a pic-- found it on Youtube shorts.

this one is interesting. Never heard of using a pressure washer to dig before

These "nickel a click" YouTube videos are very profitable to the maker, but unless you really know what you are doing, most will get in alot of trouble if they just start cutting pipe and making this sound like a "two minute" job. I'm also sure real plumbers love then, because once the general homeowner screws the pooch and cuts everything out, most would need to call a professional to fix their mistakes.

I forgot to link the one where all of the pipes & faucets were electrified bc somehow the ground wire was electrified. That was an interesting one.

I would never try to use a pressure washer to dig. I highly doubt it would actually work and it would waste a lot of water.

Went out to descale six units in a 50 unit condo on Friday. All Navien condensing tankless with condensate draining into 12 x 12 floor sinks. The building is 10 years old and you can see how the acidic waste has etched its way through the porcelain, and now is working its way through the cast iron body itself. I’m pretty sure these units all have cast-iron drains because they are three stories.
If I were still trying to do major jobs I might put together a crew to install neutralizer kits, but, being condos I don’t think I could get insured to cover the work anyway.

I certainly hope you wrote a letter to the condominium board and told them of your findings. Seems like they will have a big problem on their hands one of these days.

I thought porcelain glass was impervious to acid but susceptible to bases like lye drain cleaner.
