Hello
Recently my aunt bought a house and as she was doing laundry for the first time she saw that water was coming out through the stub out for her “soon to be” sink directly next to her laundry machine. I did a little inspecting and noticed there was a sanitary tee horizontal so I replaced it with a combo. After i did that water was not coming through the stub out as much but it was still coming through. I sent a boroscope through the pipe and saw that the machine does this cycle where it discharges a little water initially and then a minute later it discharges a lot of water out. The water always shoots out of the stub out when the washer does it’s initial little water discharge but when the large amount of water discharges it doesn’t spit out of the stub. I don’t understand how this is happening since the pipe is pitched plenty and the sink destination is about 3 feet away from the combo. Here’s a diagram of how it was plumbed. Also note this is new plumbing and the elbow on the right doesn’t go down it stubs out of the wall.
