Havasu, I hope there was no damage to the roof if it was hail.

I cleaned up in the living room, took out bathroom trash, cleaned the toilet, cooked for Mom, etc. Got an ear infection though. Will be seeing the doctor tomorrow. Last night my ear kept filling with fluid. I sopped it out with a tissue and found a sore lump inside the ear and this morning I found a lump behind my ear over the eustachian tube. So something has stuff agitated. Or one might say "ear-itated". It's not terribly painful but its annoying. Especially the fluid.

I went to the doctor. The lump behind my ear is a swollen gland from my immune system fighting the infection. Doctor confirmed it's an ear infection plus a sinus infection. Prescribed antibiotics but the pharmacy couldn't fill the RX today. They are understaffed and swamped with customers. I'll pick it up tomorrow after my curbside pickup at Samsclub.

Doc said it was a good thing that my immune system is kicking in. I had a low grade fever when the nurse checked and it broke before I left because I was sweating like crazy.

A bunch of my amazon stuff came in. Got some stuff for my friend's wedding-- some bands to make sure the cheap shoes don't slip off, a belt for me, a belt for Mom, my nylon socks (I haven't had nylons since I was a teenager), my brother's necktie, etc. Everything fit so I'm happy. I'm not one for dressing up, but some of the stuff I can re-wear for funerals.

Still feeling a bit tired. Mom kept waking me up last night and when I was trying to nap before my doctor's appointment this morning. But I could feel a lot worse. I had some chocolate mousse to make myself feel better.

Waiting for my brother to get home from work so we can cut his birthday cake. My baby brother is 44!

Glad you were "diagnosed". The problem we are beginning to see in my neck of the woods is "supply chain" issues in that the drugs, even the common ones, are out of stock sometimes for over a week.

Happy birthday to your brother.

Happy birthday to you brother (44) my daughter is 44... sighhhhhh(I'm officially old) I am also glad you have your symptoms figured out and will soon be on the mend. I don't like going to weddings, and will not go to funerals. I guess I'm just a grouchy ol man.

I finally was able to pick up my RX. Went for samsclub curbside pickup and then went to the pharmacy but it wasn't ready so I grabbed some grocery stuff, drove home, napped, then went back for the RX. Got an anti-inflammatory and an antibiotic. It knocked out the sinus headache for a little while but its back. I've been self "medicating" with chocolate. :p

I don't like weddings either. Haven't been to one since the 80s. I hate funerals but I've felt obligated to go. This is my best friend's wedding so I'm obligated to go. He's going to need some help setting up.

Got invited to another wedding in June. My cousin's older son (she has 4 kids and he's the 2nd child but oldest boy). My uncle will be going so it will be a chance to see him. It's in Louisiana so hopefully Mom and I can go. Bro might not be able to get off work.

His license expired on his birthday and he just realized it so I took him in to renew it today but he failed the vision test. I took him to where the eye clinic used to be. It's still there but apparently they shut it down and left all the signs up. No working number for the place. It was during normal hours and there were no signs saying it was closed so it must have gone out of business. Bro called several clinics and finally found one that takes his insurance and can see him tomorrow morning.

Got home and I cooked for Mom. Didn't sleep well last night because I've been drinking tons of water and had to get up to pee 1 to 5 times per hour. Fippy got aggravated with me because he had to move out of my way almost every time.

I didn't sleep at all last night. Had to drive my brother for an eye appointment and my brain kept doing the "can't sleep, have to be awake to drive" thing.
So, he has diabetic retinopathy and he's just about legally blind in his left eye. It can be reversed if he gets his blood sugar and blood pressure down. The doctor came out in a full Mari Gras suit with a hat and was wanting him to go to urgent care. Said his bp was so high that he could have a stroke at any moment. But his bp has been a lot higher before. I can't seem to find the cuff for my bp machine. I know I put it somewhere where I was supposed to remember but I can't find it. It detached from the machine. Found the machine. I need to look around for the cuff. I know I saw it somewhere... It's going to take at least 2 weeks for him to get glasses so I'll have to drive him until then. Part of the problem with his blood sugar is that he's supposed to take Rebelsus but his insurance refuses to approve it. They don't deny it either, they just leave it in limbo. Went over 6 months before and then the pharmacist finally got them to approve. But they never approve it in a timely fashion and he always has to wait at least a few weeks. He's getting more serious about his sugar now though. Going to cut back on the sugary stuff and eat more broccoli. I will have to go get a bunch of broccoli.

after that I had to deal with Fedex refusing to deliver again. In the past Samsclub got them to deliver by nagging them. But this time the samsclub person didn't understand what I was requesting and canceled the order instead. So now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get it. Oh, and AT&T wanted to charge me $99.99 to send someone out to diagnose what's wrong with my phoneline even though its on their end. And they charge me $70/month just for "repair/maintenance" on the landline and its over $90 for that landline and I'm about to tear my hair out.

I'm out of chocolate milk too.. Was too tired to go to Walmart. I'm going to find some chocolate somewhere and then take a nap. LOL.

"Urgent Care"? Is this person really a doctor or could he/she simply not be bothered with taking care of your brother? I'd find another doctor.

Hey Zanne,
Ever get rid of that drainage and cough ?
I think it's made its way to my neck of the south carolina woods.
Now I got it. Seems to be a nasty strain. Flushing my nose helps and gargling with salt water.. but uuuugh.. didn't need this.

From what i understand, this is the new variant of Covid.

High blood sugar feeds infections. Watch what you eat
