Awesome, thanks Jeff! Will try all those techniques and let you know.Do you have a hand spinner type snake?
Or just a snake with a zig zag handle that grabs the snake with a thumbscrew.
The zig zag ones are much tougher to operate, but they work if you are patient.
If you have a hand spinner, try cranking it way more than you think is necessary.
Advance it slowly, then pull it back a few inches, all while cranking the spinner very often.
When you hit what seems like a hard stop, sit there and crank for a while, pull back a few inches, creep up to it again, cranking the whole time.
If it won’t advance, try cranking in the counter-clockwise direction.
Or 10 or 15 spins counter-clockwise, then clock-wise.
You can also try bending the tip of the snake just a little bit, just a few degrees from straight.
Use a pliers, vice-grip or locking pliers work well.
The slightly bent tip helps the tip wander when it meets up with an obstruction.
