Moen kitchen faucet, 14 years old, dripping at spout for a few months, ran out of positions where it did not drip. Replaced cartridge following Moen instruction video () and other DIY videos. Very carefully triple-checked everything, repeated installation. Carefully aligned cartridge tabs. New cartridge is Moen brand 1225, exact match for original. Cleaned valve body thoroughly with toothbrush and flushed, twice. No apparent grit buildup there. Cleaned all parts before reassembling.

Still drips, in all positions. What am I missing?

Replace the cartridge again. This stuff is not perfect every time. Could have some trash stuck inside of the cartridge….who knows. Go back into it. That’s what pros do….

That’s why I rarely carry just one of a particular part on my van. I like to have a few just incase one is defective.

Thank you. On my way to shop around. Yesterday, Lowe's had only one in stock, despite their online inventory saying they had eight. Will follow up with the results.

When I install new parts and the customer is standing there watching it leak…..

I pull out my water I keep in a half gallon Vodka bottle and take a huge chug a lug………then I ask them why’s it still leaking

It’s hilarious, you should see the look on some peoples face. 😑

Want to hear a crazy AZZ story ?

Lady called a franchise plumber today and they quoted her $5k to replace a 100’ long water main that’s 3/4” pipe.

I did it for $1200 in 4 hrs. This lady fell in love with me. Asked me to move in with her……🤣

Eek. Never date a desperate woman. Or man.
She not desperate, she’s a widow living in a million dollar house. Her only job ever was selling jewelry at a local custom jeweler. She’s use to having people try to take advantage of her because of her zipcode.

She’s just a little too old for me. She’s about 20 yrs older and my wife is about 14 yrs younger than me so you can see there’s a 34 yr age gap between what I find attractive and what’s being offered. No thanks 🤣

It would be a good life though. Country club membership living on the golf course. Condo at the beach with a boat at the marina.

Some guys gonna get lucky 🤣
