I really hate the 3 am posts because that means I am driving far away that day.

I hate that. I move as close as I can to wherever I work. Nothing is worth 2 hours in traffic.

If I moved close to the work I would have to move every week. But you are wrong there are plenty of places worth driving that far for. It's the life I chose being a contractor.

Maybe for you, not for me though. I'm not going to get rich doing what I do. Can't justify the drive.

I like the idea, but I never really got into construction. I did when I was in my late teens, but I was happy to get out of it. Texas summers are brutal. Of course I traded that for 120 degree kitchens so, I don't know how smart that was, but all the same.
