I need guidance on installing fittings between two fixed ABS pipes (floor and ceiling) where I don't have enough room to move the final pipe into position. I built up the 3" pipe and fittings (not glued yet), but don't have enough play to fit the 2" pipe into the 3x2 reducer. The 2" pipe is painted so unsure how that might affect the seal of the joining pipes. Below are the options I see and would like your feedback. I live in Salt Lake for code.

Option 1: Create more space between the joint fittings (make it so pipe is not flush with the end of each joint) to slide the 2" pipe into the ABS 3x2 reducer.
Option 2: Use fernco 3x2 reducer with clamps so I can easily join the 2" and 3" pipe.
Option 3: Join the 2" pipe together with fernco coupler with clamps above the ABS reducer.
Option 4: ?

I'd go Fernco particularly since you cannot have paint on the pipe and make a proper connection with SOLVENT Cement.
