Hey all,
I recently installed a new Norwitz Tankless 147k BTU combo boiler. My home originally had a Broham burner and 30G Electric tank. The tank is less then 2 years old and the tankless takes some time to get going to the furthest fixtures at colder temps. What I wanted to do it work in the Tank, change out the 220 elements for a plug in 120v and use as a storage tank with a recirculation pump on a temp sensor. Question about setup for recirculation, can I simply put the cold water into the burner and store hot water in the tank and rec. to to the tank, essentially isolating the tankless setup? Or should I use the tank to feed the cold side of the tankless? Will be using a 2500W 120v element if it helps.
Any advice, component suggestions would be appreciated.
