Yep. I guess it could have been pressurized and blown out. Probably accumulated crud from five or six years of use. Lint or some such detritus?

My first thought was pets spreading stuff on top-- that is how most of the crud gets spread in my house.

It's a rainy day so I'm sitting under a pile of cats. Best friend spent yesterday in the hospital with kidney stones. Apparently they treated him like crap at first and thought he was a drug addict until his urine sample came out full of blood. Then they gave him morphine.

Waiting for closing on the house he's trying to buy. They want an essay on something and then will try to close after the inspection on the 8th or 9th.

I got a small cat tree with a hammock on it on clearance at TSC and my youngest cat loves it. At first she was not sure about it. She kept sniffing it and spinning in circles in the hammock part. Just spinning and sniffing for about 10 minutes before she finally flopped down and slept there for 12+hrs. She's sleeping in it now.

I've been tired still. Kitties had a fight in the kitchen early this morning and I was too tired to get up so I asked Princess to go make the kitties stop. She hopped up, ran out of the room, snarled a bit, and then the fight stopped. She came back in and climbed under the covers to go back to sleep. She's a good doggy. I will have to get her some treats.

My brother's years-long nightmare with his IRA account may be over. So, a few years ago he was trying to roll his Roth IRA over from Capital One to our new bank. That was before the physical CO bank closed in town. He filled out the papers for Roth IRA and CO told him it was the wrong paperwork, that he didn't have a Roth IRA, it was a different type. So he filled out the paperwork for the other type and they rejected it saying he had a Roth IRA. Back and forth for months trying to get them to roll it over. Then the bank closed. One day he logs in online and discovers that his IRA account is gone/empty. Months later he gets a letter informing him that they transferred his money (without his authorization) to one of their subsidiaries-- Millennium Trust. So, he spent months trying to get them to respond and trying to get them to roll his IRA over to his current bank. They ignored him. Life got busy and he didn't mess with it for awhile and then started trying again. Only now it was in a different bank (or the one it was in changed names). Still a subsidiary of CO. Not only was it not accruing interest, but they actually deducted over $200 for no apparent reason. Some BS about conversion rates or something. It has been sitting there forever and while he could see it, he couldn't access it, roll it over, or withdraw it. He contacted BBB and got some sort of message from the bank once but they never replied to anything until he publicly posted that he had no choice but to sue them to get his $ back. Suddenly they sent him forms to withdraw the $ (they refused to let him roll it over as they were no longer treating it as an IRA- it was just cash they stole and were hoarding to profit from). Yesterday he got a check for the remaining balance in the account. We went straight to the current bank and he deposited it. 5 day hold on it though. I'm hoping it won't bounce. I will not be surprised if it does though. If it clears he's going to put most of it in a c/d for a year.

My brother made another batch of the soup with the paprika and it was good. For some reason I was thinking it was my mother's maternal grandmother's recipe but it was her paternal grandmother's. Her mom couldn't really cook well. Not sure if her maternal grandmother cooked well or not, but Mom's paternal grandmother was a good cook. Don't know anything about my dad's grandparents and their cooking, but his mother was a lousy cook. She boiled the begeezus out of everything apparently. I think I only met her once or twice before she passed away. Never met any of the great grandparents-- but did meet my mom's aunt Claire. She was a very sweet and funny lady. Grandpa's side had good sense's of humor. Grandma's side were sticks in the mud.

The only pets we have around here are stuffed. We have Capital One accounts and a real brick & mortar bank with real people. The bunch of jackwads shutdown my wife’s IRA accounts and transferred them to the Millenium Trust debacle as was your brother’s case. Took it all out without a hitch and went with Fidelity.

Only thing I have with co is a credit card. Everything else I have is local credit union. Oh I forgot I do have an lpl annuity account, but it just acts like an ira. Justcaccumulates interest.
I hate the big banks, even though for a while I was a vp for wells fargo. I really hate them, they are the cheapest bank I know of. Pay thier employees nothing, make billions in profits, not to mention all of the wrong doing they did. But charge you for about any transaction.. hate that place. Fired so many people.....

So, on Thursday, I had misplaced some medicine, it's midnight, we're tearing the house apart looking for it. Finally go downstairs into the garage (to check the cars) , every few minutes i hear this p,ing, pling, plingaling sound.. what the heck is that ? I search and find a water drip that just happens to be hitting a metal folding chair. Oh, crap, now what..dishwashepr is leaking, going through a seam in the plywood floor it sits on. So we were having a delayed Christmas dinner yesterday (Saturday) so I couldl only pull the bottom off Thursday night for a preliminary check..
Wife is cooking al. Day friday, and part of Saturday, so no fixing allowed. and yup there's a drip when it runs.cant see it from the front, can't really see it with a boreascope (I need a better more maneuverable one. ) so today will be the day I get to pull that thing out and see if I can see where the leak is comming from,
I did a preliminary parts breakdown list online, and individual parts are crazy.. a little 90 degree hose , maybe 4 inches long, they want 100. But I can get the entire assembly, pump, motor,

I've ordered from partsdr.com, our LG dishwasher inlet valve and the entire sump assembly, with good success. Amazon has been helpful in the past with appliance parts as well. Glad you were able to troubleshoot and fix it yourself.

We have a new problem that is cropping up. Our four- or five-year-old GE washing machine has developed a drip, drip from a leaking cold water inlet valve. A slow drip for sure, but if the solenoid decides to blow out completely we could be in for a flood. The installation configuration of the washer and dryer prevent the washer from being taken out of the installation space without first removing the dryer! We've decided to simply shut off the cold-water ball valve between uses until we decide what to do.

I know the pain of washer troubles, moving ours is similar, move the dryer enough to pull out the washer, but it only comes out so far, then have to try and squeeze between them or climb over the top. I did the climb route once, finished what I was doing, but then got stuck back there. Didn't think I was going to get out. Lots of grunting and my wife laughing. I don't love working in that area. Seems like that time, it was a leak in the supply plumbing in the wall.
Seems like you need to take the top off to get to that valve, but not sure about that. I have a front loader, so top would have to come off. I'd bet there are online videos on it.

I just used AppliancePartsPros.com for a lint screen flapper door on my Samsung Dryer. It cost me $15 and was here in 3-4 days. I just did not like the shipping cost of $15, but having the dryer working in 5 days was well worth the cost to me.

I really wish they would be a sponsor here, so maybe we could get some better TLC when ordering items, but that's not my department.
