I'm waiting to figure out whether it's going to rain to know whether or not to start burning off my brush.

Still taking it easy from the surgery, getting bored to tears. Can't lift, cut the grass, wash the dog, etc. On the bright side, my wife just got home and found that her new bathing suits arrived in the mail from Kohl's. She asked if I could give my professional opinion as to which ones I like before the kids get home from school. Maybe this day will turn out alright after all.:D
Back to the forum later...

Repainted the out drive. Changed the fluid in it, waiting on the impeller to show up tomorrow. Tried to start the boat but had a loose cable that almost caught the thing on fire, darn. Still wouldn't start after that. Hopefully I was out of gas and not having to rebuild a carb.

Dollars to donuts it is not starting because of that crap California mandated ethanol in the fuel. Everyone running that stuff is having problems.

It has never had a problem starting no matter how long it sat so I guess we will see. It fired off of starting fluid today so who knows. I tossed 5 gallons of fresh fuel in it but didn't get a chance to try it out.

Gawd! I haven't been behind the helm of a boat/ship since I was in the Navy. I really miss it and should break some rust off the elbows the next time we go to a lake or river with rentals. It's just like riding a bike, right? The times in the sail loft doing repairs to the boats were great...stripping cleats, cutting and repairing cracks and making the boats look absolutely beautiful and smooth. The test runs afterwards, as well as running the VPs and PLs (36' boats) during operations overseas, was the best feeling in the world. You could really test the limits of a turbo-charged diesel engine in rough waters and that's exactly what they wanted you to do. Ahhh, the memories. Gotta promise myself some time at Cheat Lake or Deep Creek this summer.
By the way...swimsuit tryouts went great. Happy Tuesday to me.

You might appreciate this thread, this is my little fishing boat I restored last year.

What percentage of ethanol does California require?

I just turned off five light switches in the kitchen alone. I need to hold a course on power management.

I walk around turning off lights all the time, but it's my daughter. My wife and I are on the same page.

Not mine, she is anti darkness I guess. I have been doing this for years, I will come home late and every light in the house will be on.

My e-mail got hacked today so I will be spending the day changing passwords, apologizing, and cleaning out my internet mail lists....sucks!

That happened to me a month ago. Glad it was my personal and not business email.

Today I took my truck for an alignment and tire rotation and am already not pleased and they haven't started yet. At the counter three times while we were getting started he pushed me aside to help other customers.

Got on the highway today and a little car decided it didn't want to be behind me and tried pushing me to the shoulder, get to the next onramp and a chp jumps behind me. Figured I was getting pulled for speeding at five over or tinted windows, he passed me on the shoulder at 80 and got the guy that didn't want to let me in. He was speeding and had his tail lights blacked out. Made me feel good.
