Hello everyone,

Im in the process of excavation for a new water main going from my house to the water meter and I'm trying to dig in the right location and depth to reach the outlet at the bottom of the water meter pit for my residence. Couple questions. This water meter box has 2 meters in it. One for myself and one for my neighbor. Is there an easy way to tell where the water line comes out from the meter pit so I can dig in the right place? Also how deep is this particular meter box and how far down should I expect to dig? It is B and T brand. Picture attached. Thanks!

What does it look like down in the pit where the meters are at. Measure from the ground down to the meter and line
and that will tell you how deep it is.
