This one has me stumped! Anytime the basement bathroom toilet is flushed or the basement bathroom shower is used, water backs up in my hot water drain pan. I assumed this is because of an obstruction past the tub and shower and the hot water heater drain pain pipe is the point of least resistance for water to flow. I have tried a manual auger/snake in the toilet and bathtub. Besides a small amount of hair from the bathtub, I haven't got much out in the way of debris. The problem persists. Also of note: When the basement toilet is flushed, the bathroom sink and bathtub both gurgle... Is there a simple solution that I am missing or is it time to call the professionals?
