Tub Spout Installed slightly rotated

Our plumber installed a Tub Spout slightly rotated 10-15% degree angle to its left, like a globe. Curious if there is any reasons plumbers have any installation reasons do that, I will just rotate back myself.

One time, I had a plumber install a bathroom sink 10% slanted on the xy plane, due to the position of sink trap and pivot rod. He mentioned it was optimal position, due to way sink was installed 20 years ago.

I'm interested if plumbers have any reason to install items rotated now. Or just a bad adjustment. I'll patch it up myself, and recaulk.

Tub spout of course should be mounted with diverter vertical, not tilted.

Be careful before you start twisting it.

If it is mounted with a brass or galvanized nipple, you should be able to turn it properly.
Use two hands, no wrench.
Or a strap wrench.

Unless it is already fully seated, no more thread depth left.

If that is the case, you will need a 1/2 inch shorter nipple.

And it might be an o-ring type mount on a copper stub.
So there might be a set screw you have to loosen from underneath.

ok...here is the deal

we are plumbers, we are not carpenters, sheet rockers, painters or roofers

if you want a different sink, i will set the sink in the hole and hook it up
if the hole needs to be re-cut to accommodate the new sink.
FRANKLY SPEAKING I am not willing to accept the liability of not cutting the sink correctly.
Can I do it? YES of course I can, BUT. their is a chance it could get screwed up. for the simple reason that is NOT my profession.

Plumb, square and flush are just a few words we like to use. Have him fix that **** right. No rocket science.

I just rotated back straight, Should I recaulk it up, and not use spout for a day? I only rotated around 15 degrees.

If it looks good now, then yes, caulk it and job well done.
