In many parts of our country we can't be wasting that much water! A community near where we spend the winters in Arizona just lost its water supply, 1,000 residents living in homes worth at least $500,000 each, no water!
Most of them had cisterns and pumps, and the water was trucked in. The nearby community that was providing water to the trucks cut them off, they just don't have enough. And they keep building new developments in the Phoenix valley with hundreds of homes.
