Any thoughts on a water powered back-up sump pumps?

Make & Model you install?

Ones that are problematic?

Installation issues?

Other thoughts welcome.

Seen them. They use 8-10 gallons of fresh water to pump 1 gallon of waste.

electric pump and extension cord wrapped up in garage will go a long way. Solar panel for when electric goes off.

Water powered cannot pump as fast as an electric one . Better than nothing but that is about only redeeming quality . Know their limitations and educate customers . I prefer Liberty brand water powered backup as it sits above pit and has a large float that will turn on when water rises . Most you pay for a gallon to push 2 gallons out

If you are on a well system, they will not work. Most people don't know that.
