Hi. I'm new to plumbing and home repair, so I apologize for misusing any terms.
My friend has a basic sprinkler attached to a hose for her garden. We noticed that it was dribbling water today even when the spout connected to it was off. I suspect a worn out or missing O-ring. But since her house has vinyl siding, she'd need to have someone come in to fix. She travels a lot for work, so scheduling for her is a nightmare.
While she's waiting to schedule something, I thought we could insert a shut off value, spout splitter or extender and use that to keep the water from dribbling until it could be properly fixed.
Do you think that might work?
