Good Morning All -

I wanted to run my new shower drain configuration by you all to make sure it's ok before I glue it all up permanently.

Is it ok to have those 2 short 45s in the riser between the tail of the actual drain (Kerdi drain) and top of the j-bend of the p-trap ?

Or does the riser have to be a straight piece between the tail of the drain and top of the j-bend of the p-trap ?

Thank you all very much - I don't want to make a mistake here.

That’ll work

Make sure there’s enough room at the top to make the connection to the shower.

Thanks T.

Not sure what you mean when you say "Make sure there’s enough room at the top to make the connection to the shower."

Can you elaborate on that please - thank you very much.

Sure, you have a fitting at the top of your offset. You can’t connect a fitting to a shower, it needs to be pipe.

Oh my, that seems important - thank you !

So in the end it has to be like my picture right ?

Does it matter how long the pipe between the Kerdi drain tail and my fitting is ?

Why is it on a Kerdi drain does that pipe go INTO the Kerdi drain tail and not over it ?

I would think like water pipe or shingles, you would want the water to not flow against a lip inside the piping, no ?

From the shower drain inlet to the inlet of the trap can’t be more than 24” last I checked

Yes just like in your picture.

I don’t use Kerdi drains so I have no idea.
