We have a fairly new house (3 years) and are the sole occupants. We have a walk in shower that uses city water that is not hard (that I can tell). We are on septic tank. None of the other showers or bathtubs show this issue. We have had issues with the shower clogging up off and on since about year 1. Some of the clog is hair (my wife primarily uses it). The majority of it is this whitish build up that hardens to about the consistency of plaster over time.. So here are my questions:
Any idea what could be causing this?
Some sort of hair product? Calcium?
How can I keep it from clogging in the future?
What is the best way to get it unclogged now?
Anything I should NOT do? (I was advised not to use liquid plumr etc)
Thanks in advance! Anything else I have not covered, let me know.
