We have these shut off valves (shown in pic). I need to change my faucet. How do I remove the supply line from the shut off valve?EAF0FF01-57DA-4268-AC5C-43DC0219BB51.jpeg

You can’t, the supply line is integral to the stop valves. In other words, it’s one piece.

Does that mean I have to change the shut off valves too if I want to change the faucet?

Use a mirror or a light and your phone to take a photo of the underside of the faucet. It’s possible that these integral supply stops and hoses connect to the underside of the faucet or short lines from the faucet. If that’s the case no, you don’t necessarily need to change them, but you don’t know what you’ll find connections-wise until you buy a new faucet.

Sometimes this stuff is just. PIA. That’s why the pros carry a lot of stuff in their truck! They can’t be running to Home Depot every time…

This product is an example of how approval can be bought from the model plumbing codes.

This crap shouldn’t be plumbing legal.

It’s one of a few reasons why I don’t respect plumbing codes.
