Nice Forum! Well laid out and easily navigated!

The aerator on the kitchen faucet needs to be replaced. However, plumbers' putty was used to seal it rather than Teflon tape. I've got to get that aerator off without breaking it. What is the best way to accomplish this? This aerator feels more like plastic than metal and it has a small crack in it.....

Thank you!

Lyman

I use Channel lock pliers unless it is a recess style, for which one needs the brand/model specific tool made for i it. Needle nose pliers can work when destruction is ok.

Thank you! I will use Channel lock pliers as well but I was wondering if the plumbers putty is going to cause any heartburn by his nature of adhesion.

Thank you very, very much for your quick reply!

Best,

Lyman
