So I was helping a friend replace an abomination of a p trap install (see photos), and I went and purchased everything only to find out the copper drain pipe coming out of the wall doesn’t appear to be a standard size? Now I’m having a hard time finding an adapter to go from 1-1/2 DWV to this copper which is exactly 1-1/4 OD? Am I able to get something for this?IMG_2667.jpegIMG_2669.jpeg

Must be 1 1/4 in the wall, you will have to lower that trap so you going basically straight into the wall what was sticking out of the wall that was clamped to????
How are you connecting to what's in the wall

I ran into a similar problem, removing old corroded metal drain and tail piece assemblies. Original from the 1960s. Ripped it ALL out to find the copper stub out in the wall. Got all new PVC, and a Fernco. Was not easy finding the Fernco.
