whenever we turn on any water there is a humming noise coming from the pipes , hot or cold same noise and doesnt matter if its sink, tubs or toilets . traced it and it seems like it is coming from the main water line into the house near a joint that goes to sprinkler system . anyone know why this would start making noises after 13yrs ?

could be a bad valve
