Trying to tie into an old 1&1/2" metal pipe that is embedded in an old retaining wall that was dispensing downspout water onto the sidewalk. Cored out the wall around it with the initial plan to expose enough of the pipe to grab it with a metal fernco and pick up with new PVC to reroute the line to where it needs to go.
Once exposed though the old metal pipe is corroded to the point of disintegration, nothing to fernco off of. It's on a big steep hillside so I'm trying at all costs to avoid digging up the pipe. Any ideas on another fitting that might help? Has anyone ever encountered a fernco gasket that is sized to go inside of male pipe? Thanks for looking.
