I bought a new garbage disposal and sink and decided to install them myself. The sink and garbage disposal are good. I’m trying to get the drain pipe fixed. I have added before and after pictures. Can someone take a look and let me know if I’m doing the right thing? Appreciate your advice! Noobie here036338AC-5FCF-4CCA-B453-352E9E23984F.jpeg7B738652-9D03-4686-9892-448E943A3D06.jpeg

You’ll need to solvent weld (glue) one of these on where you cut the pvc pipe off. Same as you had before you cut it.

You cut it crooked but it should still work.

Those flex drain tailpieces aren’t the best thing to use but it’ll work. You could replace that with straight pipe. If it’s built onto the trap you would just have to replace it. Looks like it’s built on.
