I’m noticing a leak running down the kitchen sink drain pipe (black abs). I’ll attach a picture of where I think it originates.
I think it must be a gasket / seal. Can it be repaired?
If so, how do I identify it so i can get a replacement and how do I switch it.
Or, is it one part which includes the bigger section which I think is positioned with putty.

There a gasket in there. I call them a “ top washer “ or a “ flanged tailpiece washer “

Are they a standard size or how can I measure or identify it, to ensure i get the right replacement?
Also, can it be identified on the attached diagram?
Alternatively, can I use the assembly as shown in the other 2 pictures?
Thank you. I appreciate your reply.

We don’t have Ace hardware up here and our local HomeDepot only has these. Should be ok. I was just concerned that there may be something about Moen brand that made them specific (to moen sinks)

You may need to order them online.
It’s pretty common to any hardware store. They’re just called different things in different places. I posted him a description to take with him to his store or yes, he could order it.
