IMG-4782.jpgI'm trying to replace the sink faucet in my bathroom and the faucet handles are held in place with 1.5" nuts under the sink that I can't undo for the life of me. Tried plumber's wrench, basin wrench, vice grips, Rigid EZ Change faucet tool, WD 40 and nothing will do it. Is there a way to remove the assembly from the top, at the handles? Please see photos. Any help is appreciated!

cut the nuts off by slicing them in two places 180 degrees apart then pry the two pieces off with a screwdriver.

use a dremel and wear a face shield

If a snug-fitting wrench and a long bar extension doesn't work, or if the whole fixture turns when the nut is turned, then you have no alternative but to do what Twowaxhack suggests, or to remove the entire sink.
