Hi,
Started out trying to stop a dripping kitchen faucet, and have run into some problems. Mainly I can't get the stem out of the valve because the packing nut seems to be jammed tight and I only seem to be making things worse trying to get it to budge. I have had a look online for replacement parts and so far am having no luck. Here is the valve:

I think it is a Price Pfister but beyond that I don't know what to look for. If I do manage to get the stem out I may need a replacement for that, rather than the whole valve, or just suitable replacement o-rings, etc.

Any tips for getting that packing nut out would also be appreciated, as well as any suggestions for possible replacements

It’s price pfister. You’ll need to hold the valve body and unscrew the stem counterclockwise. It doesn’t have a packing nut.

Once you remove the stems it’ll be easy to match them up with new ones. Remove them and take pics.

You could also just replace the faucet rather than repairing it.

Thanks - useful to know it's the stem I'm trying to turn and not a packing nut. I am having a lot of trouble with it. It started to move when I first tried, now it won't budge. I would love to just replace the faucet! Sadly I can't seem to find any reasonable options for just replacing just the one, without having to rip the whole system out.

Thanks. I got the stem out in the end:

It looks like this one:

Are there any other good suppliers that might have it?

The seat / gasket / o-ring (whichever is the correct term) at the bottom of the stem seems to have been the problem - it is quite dry and brittle, and not entirely intact.

Any ideas of where to get that would be much appreciated (before I go about replacing the whole thing, which in anycase looks like it comes without the rubber parts).

I think that it is the 910-8250, can anyone confirm? There seems to be some confusion about whether this is the left (hot) or right (cold) version of the stem - Pfister's own site says it is the cold version, but plumbingsupply.com says the opposite. I think plumbingsupply.com have got it right - a lot of the amazon reviews for the product mention that it turns the 'wrong' way for the cold side application.

A few sites (Lowes, Home Depot) sell a product that looks very similar, but they refer to it as the GS10-710 / GS10-701 (again there is some confusion about which one is for which side). Are these the same thing?

Is either of these options a suitable replacement or are there others, subtly different in some way, that I need to look for?

Thanks

There is also a Danco 10H-15H available.

Show a picture of the stems you removed then I might can help.

Thanks - I have lever handles and it's the hot that needs replaced. There are some different part numbers flying about.

This part at home depot seems to match:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Pfister...xtension-and-Adapter-130490/205603931#overlay

Is this part listed on the Pfister website, but with a different part number, equivalent?

https://ca.pfisterfaucets.com/parts...e-with-adapter-cold-side?modelNumber=910-8250

Obviously I wouldn't need to use the adapter / extender. They don't seem to have any other similar stems available.

Get the price pfister original. Just be sure to get the hot stem, your link is to the cold stem.
