Hey all, bought a Zoeller fiberglass with 4" hub ejector pit and have a couple of questions...
1) Is it normal/ok to have to bore out the hole leading into the pit, it's too small right now for a 4" to fit through. Is a pipe saver/reamer a good tool for the job?
2) A 4" hub is needed to connect to the pit on the outside; what is commonly used to bond the PVC to the fiberglass hub? Epoxy?

Thanks!

Sewer ejector basins we normally buy as a package (and we only recommend Duplex) so have a tap already molded in place so you must be talking about a Sump basin. Sump basin doesn't need to be waterproof at the side entry, just shove the pipe in and backfill with drain rock.

We just use a hole saw to make openings. No pipe saver isn't what would be used.

We use a hole saw to cut the hole in fiberglass basins and use “ seal tite “rubber bushings to seal the pipe to the tank.

I’ll post a link for you.

Hmm, the ejector pit I have is a duplex basin, so I'm a little confused by your reply. It has a 4" hub on it

Ok, so from what I've gathered, I can use a fernco hub without the metal straps to shove into the basin hub, and then put the 4" PVC pipe through that. However, the PVC pipe doesn't make it through the outside of the basin. I assume it's supposed to butt up against the inside of the basin, so I'll have to hole saw it open a bit? Does that sound about right?
