Hello Everyone,
My bathtub is draining SUPER slow and it's becoming quite an annoyance. I do think it's the drum trap that is going bad. My house was made in 1956 so I'm certain it's as old as it as well. I'm wondering if I replace the drum trap with a standard p trap, would that clear up the slow drain? And how would I go about replacing the drum with a standard p trap?
I tried to auger the drain numerous of times and that doesn't seem to fix the problem. I don't know if this was a problem for the previous home owners but the sink and toilet that is in the same bathroom have no draining/ clogging issues.
The steel pipe that's connected to the upside down "t" goes directly to the main sewer line. I did check the slope of the pipe and it is sloping correctly to the main line.
Thank you and sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology for this project.
