Kitchen remodel leading to the moving of the dishwasher. Sink is a double basin. There is one p-trap and it is under sink 1 (left side basin).
A few videos in and I have seen the dishwasher wye installed a) vertically on sink 1 drain tailpiece, b) vertically on sink 2 drain tailpiece, and c) horizontally along drain pipe connecting sinks 1 and 2. I have also noticed that some vertical installs are installed over the trap side and some are not.

So, does it matter where the dishwasher wye is installed? I understand a high loop will have to be created and all that other good stuff. Thanks
