I have a glass sliding door which is leaking water into the basement ceiling below. I was planning on fixing the leak by opening up an access panel in the basement, running some water along the door, and applying some caulk onto the leaking area with a brake line from below, but I am not entirely sure that this is the best way to fix it. Another method I was thinking about was shining a flashlight through the access panel in the basement and looking at it from above to see which areas have gaps in them, then filling it in with caulk from the top and below.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same experience and how they went about finding the leaking seam and fixing it, any inputs/thoughts would be appreciated.
