Running into issues with the existing framing.

I changed the Lav vent from 1-1/2" to 1-1/4 because of framing space. This is OK
under the IPC; however, I also want to use it to wet vent the shower drain.

Thoughts on this?

It’ll work, I don’t know if your local code would allow it.
 
Wouldn't it meet the wet vent criteria?

I’ve never used a 1.25” pipe ever in a vent system. It might meet the code, Im not sure.

You’re actually not wet venting through the 1.25”. That’s being done in the 1.5”.

The 1.5" drains into a 2" for the shower. and a 1.25" would work for that also.
 
I just looked up the IPC code.

A lavatory is 1 DFU

The minimum size vertical wet vent is 1.5” with a max DFU of 1.

So yes, it’s legal.

The 1.25” vent is not a wet vent.
