White powdery residue

Has anyone ever seen this? It's building up across the bottom of the radiator, and falling off on to the floor

Being a retired cop, I can tell you.....nevermind! It could be calcium/scale which was from a slow leak which has dried up, and something (cat, dog, kid) disturbed it from the radiator.

Not familiar with radiators but havasu problem made a good guess.
I see hot water piping with very small leaks. minerals left behind as small leak evaporates because the radiator is hot.

is the radiator freshly painted? if so, house paint or heat resistant paint ?

is the floor being mopped ? this could be mop water/detergent residue

the mop deposits on the bottom of radiator ?
