Hi. I recently had a plumber come and install a carbon filter and water softener, and I noticed these white powdery residue after the water dries. From what I read online, I'm assuming it's the salt from the brine tank. I find it on my bathroom sink and tub, bottom of my water boiler, and other various places. I never had this issue prior to installing the filter and softener system. I thought soft water is supposed to leave no residue? Is this normal? If not, how do I get rid of it? Any insights are appreciated!
