Hi. I live in a townhouse. The upstairs toilet began to whine when flushed. I replaced the seal on the fill valve. The noise stopped immediately. However, when I was opening the shut off valve, it began to drip. I replaced the shut off valve stem and solved that problem, but the whining immediately returned. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Put a new fluidmaster in or try slowing down the shut off valve first.
Thanks Tom. I just watched a video about putting in the top unit of a new fluid Master. Do you think this might work or should I put in the whole unit?
