An old kitchen faucet stopped working. We are replacing it.
But we can't take off the old faucet.
Tried to loose the bolt/nut under sink,
tried wrench and other tools, but the space is so tight,
tried numerous bits, but nothing fit this nut.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

havasu, is spot on with his advice.

another method if the sink has been on the cabinet for a long time.

cut the caulk all the way around the sink, remove the p trap and pull the whole sink.

clean the cabinet, the sink also, change out old parts for new.

reset the sink in a new bed of caulk, dress up the caulking,

it will be good for another 10-15 years,
