I plan to change all of my galvanized pipe to CPVC pipe. I plan to use a miter saw for most of my cuts, mostly to get a clean square cut. I will also have a RIGID plastic cutter for tight quarters. What type of saw blade would you recommend for miter saw to cut the CPVC pipe?

We use the plastic cutters for CPVC and pex water lines. But for large size PVC DWV pipe we use a miter saw with a fine tooth blade installed backwards. It make nice square cuts with out grabbing the PVC.

Anything up to 1 1/4", I use a sharp pair of ratchet cutters or the aluminum framed Ridgid tubing cutters. If I have to use a saw, a hacksaw with a 24 TPI blade. A spin with a file to remove any burrs.

We use a gas cut off saw with a metal carbide blade for all our PVC.

Cris, the blade we use is what I think they call a plywood blade. It is a fine tooth blade that is carbide tipped. Very long lasting if I could keep my men from using it to cut 2x4's for backing.
