Hi everyone,

I am new here and I thought I would start by asking the professional plumbers an interesting question. I have very little plumbing experience, but I did work for a water well plumbing repair company.

What is the biggest pain that you professional plumbers experience when you are on the job? Is it the customers? A tool that sucks? Your boss? Employees? A common problem that should be easy to solve, but isn't?

I am looking forward to your answers.

Thanks!

One that really brings my piss to a boil that seems to happen too often is customers schedule a service call, then while waiting for my arrival they tackle the job themselves, and when they are successful they don't call to cancel the appointment. Today I traveled 45 minutes away from our shop only to be greeted at the door by a man all proud to tell me he fixed a leak himself. He saves money while the company loses money

Either that or having another company sitting in the driveway when you arrive. If it was a job that I wasn't to crazy
about doing then this was a good thing. Lol... Matt, I know where your coming from. I had a guy that only needed a
new flapper put in his toilet and when I got there he told me he got it started for me. He had the OLD tank pulled off the
bowl. Some off brand toilet too. I told him he made an inexpensive job a more expensive job. Took a special tank to
bowl gasket that I couldn't find.

people who want to talk.
mostly older people, when you walk in the house they start talking, about family and friends
they go on and on, while you stand their being polite. finally when you can get a word in edgeways
you slip in with.
You are so interesting. I would love to stand here and talk all day,
But, the minute i stepped in your door the clock is ticking,
That usually cut s the talk out,

Or the guy that is glued to your shoulder and will not leave you alone to do your work
you know, the guy that sits on the toilet seat while you are working on the shower valve and tells you what you need to do

It could be worse frodo. He could be SITTING on the toilet while talking to you!

The guy that stands there the whole time you are doing the job and then he tells you that he probably could have
done this job but just didn't have the time to do it.o_O
