What did you do today?

I've already seen a slew of posts on social media from men whining about "There's no men's day. waaaah. How about share the love equally?" and women replying with "International Men's Day is Nov 17". I don't really care about either. This is the first time I'd heard of either day.
But if we're celebrating women:


I wonder how many people doing that sort of job fell. Takes a lot of strength, dexterity, and courage (or being someone who doesn't experience fear sensation-- which does exist) for that kind of job. Some day they may develop drones that can do the tasks like that.

I started cleaning Mom's toilet but back decided to nope out on me. Sitting here with both dogs and 6 of the cats.

Speaking of cleaning toilets... we have one that was pretty stained from hard water or whatever is in our water. I bought my wife one of those new spin brush cleaners to use wherever she wants (she loves that thing) well it has a velcro attachment, so I bought some velcro backed scotchbrite.. slapped that on, drained the toilet.. (Ooo the smell that came up) but the scotchbrite worked well. It did take a little while, but the spin brush was doing the work, so not to bad, just the chore of leaning over. (Oooo me back) i'm shure there are micro scratches, but that toilet looks oh so much better. And no chemicals down into the sewer system.

That's why I no longer wear reading glasses. They disclose so much of what is wrong with things today.

I like to use sponges or pads for cleaning the toilet. Had stuff fly at my face a bit too much from the larger brushes. But I do have a Rubbermaid one that looks like an electric toothbrush that works great for under the rim and getting into the nooks. Now that my hair is cut short I don't have to worry about it dipping in the toilet. My hair is super thin and doesn't stay up-- slips right out of bands, barrettes, hairpins, etc. Wish I'd started getting my hair cut short a long time ago. Not looking forward to finishing up the cleaning. I'll use some kneepads to make it easier. found some with gel cushioning that are very nice.

Not doing much today. Cooked for Mom. Helped her give flea meds to Fippy. Gave heartworm meds to Princess (she took the flea meds from Mom without trouble-- but Fippy hadn't been cooperative). I had to tell Fippy I was going to eat it if he didn't eat it. That will usually get him to eat stuff.

Yesterday I ended up going to the store, cooking for Mom, and paying a little extra attention to Rupert. I give him some wet food as a treat but I have to hold the bowl up to his face and rotate it for him since he has trouble aiming his head. He has a permanent head-tilt and no depth perception. He was purring very loudly the entire time he was eating. But he purrs loudly if I even say his name or look at him.

Boo decided to sit in front of my keyboard, rolled on his side and kept bumping the keyboard with his back foot. I rubbed his belly and he rolled on his back some more. Ginger got jealous.
