Yeah, too rich for me. Carp and Blue Gills are what us non-plumbers eat these days. ;)
It’s less expensive than a boat, fuel, licenses, bait, ice, rods/reels, tackle/equipment. Then factor in the time and the clean up…….

I can get most species of fish fresh off the boat living on the Gulf but I can’t get salmon down here any other way.

My mom likes frozen Tilapia from Walmart. I'm not a big fan of seafood, but the fresh caught stuff was good. Tried to get something off my cousins's son's wedding registry but its through HomeDepot and wants to ship it to the store near me but the nearest one to where his wedding his happening is 3hrs away. I'm really not sure how to get it to him because it doesn't have shipping-- only delivery and as far as I know, he lives more than 30 miles away and they won't deliver that far. I've sent him a message and hope he can answer it. If not, I'll call my cousin or my uncle and see if either of them knows. Ship to Store would come after the wedding. I'm hoping he'll answer the question so we can get him that. Worst case we'll get him a gift card. I can probably stop at a HomeDepot and get him a gift card to buy the item at his HD of choice.

Z, by the way, it is Chris who I am going with.

My favorite way to cook all fish is on the BBQ, basted with 1 part soy sauce and 1 part butter. Yum...
Right on the grates or on an appliance of some kind?

An early Happy Father’s Day to all us fathers past, present and future!

For fish, I use those BBQ safe roll up mats right on top of the grates of the BBQ. It allows sear marks to show on the food you are cooking. I'm cooking about 10 pounds of veggies on the grill tomorrow and I use these same grilling mats, since the veggies don't fall into the grill.

For veggies, I dice them thick in a bowl with light olive oil, salt and pepper, some Italian seasoning, and I squeeze a lemon all over the veggies. It gives it a really nice fresh taste.

I've got all my family coming over tomorrow for some swimming, drinking, eating and laughter. Happy Father's Day, for those who have families.

Is there a separate thread for politics? LOL.

I finally got to take my shower- broke my rule of showering in the morning/daytime and took it at night. Felt great but then I woke up drenched with sweat.

Talked to my cousin's son to figure out how to order something off his registry for him. Well, I could order it but wasn't sure how to get it to him. I set it up so he can pick it up at the store when it arrives. Looks like he might be planning some renovations because he had tools and materials on his list. It was at HomeDepot so I got a discount. I bought so much stuff from them that they gave me a free pro account.

Slept through my alarm for the curbside pickup I scheduled but they keep the stuff for 24hs. Worked out because they had freshly made rotisserie chickens. I picked up Chinese takeout, got home, unloaded stuff. fed Mom, fed kitties, cleaned the cats' waterer and refilled it, took all the meat off the bones of the rotisserie chickens (I sort of shred it by hand into ziploc bags). Took a nap, got up and got more food for Mom and ate a little chicken while watching My Lottery Dream Home.

I'm trying to wind down to get some sleep for the night.
Speaking of rotisserie chicken, I have found the quality has gone down drastically (no matter where I buy it) I won't be buying it anymore, and that is a shame since it does make for an. Easy meal.

I use my natural gas fired outdoor grill nearly daily. Roasted vegetables are a staple. All mixed up in a Large stainless steel pan, then this is placed not on the grates but on top of an inverted pan—elevated about 1.5”.

Also, if you do not want to see the Political section, you can send me a private message and it can be blocked for you.

Well, I'll shift back to what I'm doing today, currently drinking coffee on my back screened in porch in my pajamas sitting in my lazyboy recliner, waiting for it to get to hot or muggy to tolerate. My wife will then make (hmmm.what would I like) waffles. Then I will move my behind into the lazyboy in my living room, where I will watch. Starwars/startrek/stargate/ or any other star thing (oh, lord help me, not dancing with the srars.. just kill me now) similar ... if the wife asks for anything, I will jump up to help produce whatever she would like...
Such is the life of a retired old man.
