I want to cut out the rusted section of a 2" galvanized steel pipe (horizontal) and splice in a 2" ABS pipe. Do I use No Hub coupler or flexible coupler?

No hub has thinner rubber but a metal band all around. Flexible coupler has thicker rubber but pipe clamps at the end.

My guess is I can use Flexible coupler because No hub is more for Cast Iron pipe?

if you're in canada you are fine to use a fernco (no hub). If your in the states from what i gather you would need to use a flexible coupling to follow code.

maybe i misinterpreted what you were saying, but anyways yeah canada you can use ferncos (or at least where im from) in the states the say you cant use them above ground so use a banded coupling. the other guys from the states would know better than I haha

If you can replace the whole run , I would, or at least from fitting to fitting. what ever you decide to do, use a no hub band with steel piping.
